This course is accredited with APMG and conforms to the syllabus for those delegates wishing to gain the AgilePM® Practitioner level certification.
It covers a more detailed understanding of the core topics associated with Agile Project Management and builds upon participants understanding of the second section of the Agile Project Management Handbook V2, ‘Digging Deeper’. Facilitated by an accredited APMG trainer, facilitated coursework and pre-work combines to prepare candidates for the AgilePM practitioner examination, which is held on day 2 of the workshop, or alternatively delivered at a later date via online testing.
Note: Participants who are PRINCE2 qualified, Programme managers, senior managers and staff of Programme, Portfolio Offices would also benefit from attendance on this course. However, Codarra are also able to offer custom courses that provide a good understanding of the PRINCE2 methodology and AgilePM methodology, without the overhead of sitting an examination. A pass at AgilePM Foundation is a prerequisite for this course.
Note: To take the AgilePM Practitioner examination, you must provide us with proof of holding either a current AgilePM Foundation certificate, or either the DSDM Atern Foundation or Advanced Practitioner certificates.
The participant will learn, at a more detailed level, the underpinning philosophy and principles of Agile as well as the lifecycle of an Agile project, including alternative configurations. The roles and responsibilities within an Agile project, the products produced and their purpose and finally the techniques used and their benefits and limitations during an Agile project.
This workshop is also designed to prepare participants to attempt the AgilePM Practitioner examination.
In more detail, the understanding of Agile and an appropriate Agile approach. Agile philosophy, principles and project variables. Setting up for success. The DSDM process, roles and responsibilities and products. Key practices, including prioritisation and timeboxing. Planning and control throughout the lifecycle. Other practices such as facilitated workshops, modelling and iterative development.
Facilitated discussion and review of the practice AgilePM Practitioner examination. Preparation (both technical and theoretical) for the AgilePM Practitioner examination.
The course is delivered face-to-face over 1.5 days with the Practitioner Examination being held on the second day, (or alternatively, the examination being held at a later date via online delivery).
The Practitioner Level Qualifications involves an open book (official AgilePM Manual allowed) objective style scenario based examination, which lasts for 150 minutes. The exam is made up of 4 questions (each worth 20 marks). Total marks available are 80 marks. The pass mark is 50%, or 40/80 marks.
The course fee includes the workshop delivered by APMG accredited trainers, group exercises, practice Practitioner examination paper, examination fee and catering on the first day (on public courses). There is nothing further to pay.
